Five time winners of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) and defending champions of the Uganda Cup, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) will face off with the ‘Kasasiro boys’ of Kampala Capital City Football club (KCCA FC) in the round of 32 in the Uganda Cup.
The development follows victories for the two top flight league sides ove the weekend in the round of 64 in the competition. URA’s Frank Kalanda scored a brace before Peter Lwasa added the other to hand a 3-0 victory to the Tax collectors over KCCA Corporates at Lugogo.
Meanwhile, KCCA saw off Seeta United in a 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from the enterprising Herman Wasswa and the industrious winger Michael Birungi at the Seeta Church of Uganda play grounds.
According to the federation, these were round 64 games that the two sides missed due to engagements in the CAF competitions.
In the round of 32 games, Bul fc eliminated Kiira Young from this year’s Uganda Cup on a penalty shootout which ended a 4-1 after a barren 90 minutes at the Kira Town Council play grounds.
