The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has finally issued an official statement on the status of Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic after multiple reports linked the Serbian to Sudan giants Al Hilal Omdurman.
Micho guided the same side, Al Hilal to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF champions in 2010-2011.
“The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) would like to clarify on reports about the job of the National team coach. Mr. Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is still under contract with FUFA and both parties will honour it,” reads a statement on the federation’s official website.
“Sredojevic has not submitted any documents seeking termination of his contract with FUFA. In the event that there is any development on this matter, FUFA will communicate to the football fraternity and other stakeholders”, the statement further clarifies.
Micho’s current contract with the Uganda National team, the Cranes expires in two months’ time.
