Uganda has enjoyed a great deal of success in different sports especially on the international scene in the month of November.

Body builder Ivan Byekwaso won the Natural Body Building World Cup this month, in San Diego, USA just two months after being crowned Mr. Universe. Byekwaso was crowned Mr. Universe after beating American and Australian opponents to the gold medal at the 67th edition of the global event held at the Zach Topfer theatre in South Lamar, Austin Texas, United States of America in September.

In Kickboxing, Patricia Apolot defended her World Kickboxing Federation-International title in Hungary having beaten Anita Nagy about a fortnight ago. Apolot was defending a title she first lifted it June when she beat Serbia’s Ivana Mirkov.

In the same month of November, Uganda Cranes beat the Sparrow Hawks of Togo both at away and at home, 1-0 and 3-0 respectively to progress to Africa’s group stages of the 2018 World Cup Russia qualifiers.

In Pool table, the Uganda Pool Cranes also won silver at the 2015 All Africa Pool Championships in Maseru, Lesotho even when the She Pool Cranes didn’t make it for the trip due to shortage of finances hence missing their opportunity to better their second position finish of last year.

At the same event, Fahad Ssewankambo aka ‘The Bee’ lifted Uganda’s flag quite high in the singles when he scooped a bronze medal after winning the third place play-off.
