Uganda Cranes once again meet Burkina Faso today in the return leg of the Group D fixture of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Despite losing the first leg 1-0 in Ouagadougou on Saturday evening, the Cranes have now vowed to win today’s game for fallen goalkeeping star Abel Dhaira who recently lost a battle with abdominal cancer in Iceland.

It should be remembered that former Express FC and URA FC custodian also featured for the national team under which he won three CECAFA regional titles in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

Before the game kicks off, both teams will have a one minute moment of silence that CAF has granted as they stand together with the nation to mourn one of Uganda’s finest goalkeepers.

Nigerian football legend Nwankwo Kanu is expected to attend the game.
