The Uganda Cranes are already in Lome, Togo to clash with their Group E rivals Togo in the return leg of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers. The Cranes arrived in Togo yesterday afternoon and were also later involved in some drills as they the kicked off their preparations ahead of the Wednesday tie.
The Uganda Cranes have now suffered another major setback in their defence following reports coming in from the camp that Savio Kabugo is injured. The Cranes are already without team Captain Andrew Mwesigwa who didn’t travel with the team due suspension after he accumulated two yellow cards that keep him out of the fixture for one game.
Kabugo who has for a while been partnering with suspended Captain ‘Andy’ Mwesigwa will now miss the clash on match day four against Togo in the return leg. Head coach Miltin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic confirmed the reports saying that the senior defender is most likely to remain ruled out due to the injury.
Micho however said that the team doctors will try to assess him and see if he can make it back on time for the clash which is set to be played tomorrow at around 3:00pm, Togo time and 6:00pm Ug time.
