INDABA, the largest Pan-African travel show and We Are Africa, the bespoke travel trade show, will once again join forces in 2015 under the banner: TWO SHOWS ONE AFRICA. This collaboration will be to bring the very best Africa has to offer to the world’s leading travel and tourism buyers.
This partnership was initiated in 2014 to ensure that select international buyers would be exposed to exhibitors at both these must-attend African travel events, guaranteeing them access to the very best Africa has to offer over the course of one week. We Are Africa takes place at the Cape Town Stadium from 4 to 7 May, and the Tourism Indaba will take place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban from 9 to 11 May 2015.
“Last year, this partnership was an undisputed success, giving buyers who are focused on selling Africa the best exposure possible to the incredible tourism products and services available on the continent today,” says Mr Thulani Nzima, South African Tourism Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted to once again partner with Beyond Luxury Media, organisers ofWe Are Africa, under the banner: TWO SHOWS ONE AFRICA, firmly establishing the week of 4 to 11 May, as the continent’s not–to–be-missed travel showcase.”
For the second consecutive year, South African Tourism is the title sponsor of We Are Africa 2015, which will feature a carefully curated selection of outstanding African brands showcasing their products and services to some of the world’s finest travel trade buyers. These buyers will then get the opportunity to visit INDABA and be exposed to the biggest team of African exhibitors coming together on one platform.
As part of its commitment to the partnership, South African Tourism will sponsor the We Are Africa Innovation Awards Ceremony to be hosted in Cape Town on 5 May 2015. To make it as easy as possible for buyers to attend and plan for both shows, We Are Africa‘s hosted buyers will be invited to extend their trip to attend Indaba in Durban.
Serge Dive, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Beyond Luxury Media Ltd, organisers of We Are Africa, says: “We are again thrilled to be collaborating with South African Tourism and Tourism INDABA. Our events share fantastic synergies, and provide the global travel industry with comprehensive coverage and access to the very best of the continent. All eyes are on Africa, so it is the perfect moment to stand together in welcoming the world’s leading travel buyers to share the immense opportunity the continent offers.”
“This partnership shows the world the quality and variety of experiences available in Africa today. The collaboration also showcases the commitment of African destinations and service providers to developing and growing this important sector of the continental economy. This is without a doubt a week that no buyer committed to selling Africa can afford to overlook,” concludes Nzima.
