In a recent interview, singer Topic Kasente shared a surprising experience from his past, alleging that Jose Chameleone once took him to the Makindye Military Barracks and asked soldiers to detain him.

According to Kasente, the incident occurred while he and fellow singer Lil Pazo Lunabe were at a music studio in Makindye.
Kasente claimed that Chameleone’s actions were motivated by his close friendship with fellow musician Roden Y Kabako and talent manager Jeff Kiwa, both well-known figures in Uganda’s music industry.

Kasente recalled the event as an unsettling moment in his career.
He emphasized that the encounter was not only unexpected but also left a lasting impression on him.
However, he did not specify the details of what transpired at the barracks or how long the alleged detention lasted.
The incident highlights the complexities of relationships within Uganda’s music industry, where rivalries and alliances often shape the dynamics among artists.
Neither Jose Chameleone nor his representatives have publicly responded to Kasente’s claims.
