All good or bad things come to an end, it is therefore sad to inform you that city model Kabareebe Doreen is quitting the game.

Yes, the top model we all love to see is retiring soon, the one who keeps us entertained with her rather controversial Facebook posts. She announced this to the public on facebook on Monday saying that “The given time set for my modeling career is getting done… .For all designers, models, photographers, promoters and other people I’ve worked with, my luv for you will always be there”

She will have one final show at Club Silk this Thursday 20th June showcasing with Pamella Collections and hopes to see you all there.

Gonza a friend of the model had this to say upon hearing the news “Ugandan Top Model Kabareebe Doreen is set to retire soon, it was really nice working with you. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors”

Doreen is switching to other activities which according to reports may include studies, gospel ministry and sport. We hope her career has inspired many to fill the rather big shoes.

The Tribe UG Lands Therapy For Hip-hop Addicts With The ‘UG Hip-hop Lockdown’ Challenge

By BigEyeUg Team; When the lockdown was announced in Uganda, it was such a frustrating moment for the music industry as stake-holders’ annual plans were frozen.

This was a night-mare to one of the marathon-growing music genres in Uganda, Hip-hop, whose future prospects were extremely enticing with huge investments on-board like; awards, talent searches, audio & visual recordings, among others.

It was then, time for some of the giant investors in the Hip-hop world, The Tribe UG seek for new avenues of keeping Ugandan Hip-hop genre relevant in even the music business seemed shut.

One of the initiatives landed was having live virtual events, but because of the limited extent of technology especially in relation to internet accessories to part of Uganda’s population, this was dropped.

Here is when they developed another idea themed ‘UG Hip-hop Lockdown’ that has been a hue success for the Hip-hop fraternity.

The UG Hip-hop Lockdown partakes one beat shared by Tribe UG to different rappers to write verses and visually record themselves singing.

It is then Tribe UG’s responsibility to create a fine customized artwork and share it together with the recorded video on its social media platforms.

The UG Hip-hop Lockdown has already registered more than 16 verses from different artists with over 10,000 views all over its social media

These out merge from rappers such as; Navio, Byg Ben, KSL, Atlas, and anticipating for more talent to drop new challenges as the lockdown continues to surface.

“We invite you to be part of the UG Hip-hop lockdown by sharing your challenge on social media. The beat is accessible via; www.thetribe.africa,” stated Tribe UG Director, Felix Byaruhanga.

“The project is set with motive of promoting new talent and Ugandan Hip-hop creativity even during such trying times for them,” Felix added.

On further note; UG Hip-hop Lockdown is also catering for Deejays as they feature with Hip-hop mixes.

Athen Lyre releases club banger “Onkolera”

Ugandan South African based singer, songwriter Athen Lyre is yet back again with a high love tempo club banger record titled “ONKOLELA”.

Mayombwe Patrick Wanny who is famously known for songs like Tonkyawa (Written and Produced by Ronnie) has brought smiles on people’s faces yet again in this lockdown when he dropped Onkolela.

According to our sources in South Africa, the song was fully written,composed by (Athen Lyre) and finally produced by his younger brother Jkayz the beat boy who is a producer based in Mbarara. JKayz the beat is muchly known in Mbarara for producing songs like Tamu -Tamu by T-Paul and More for Rasta Dog.

Athen lyre is the most prominate artist in South Africa as a Ugandan, he has collaboration with South African Female B.E.T Award winner Sho Madjozi that is on the way coming soon, according to his Tree House Music Management.

TOO CUTE: Juliana Kanyomozi enjoys Stroll With Newly Born Son

Song bird Juliana Kanyomozi has taken her son Taj to the streets for the first time since delivery. The music legend, who recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy was spotted taking a stroll on the street with her son in a stroller. She then posted a photo on her Instagram for her fans to enjoy.

Juliana was overwhelmed with congratulatory messages coming in from many fans including many celebrities when news broke out that she had given birth. Desperate being abroad, friends still managed to send her gifts all the way from Uganda.

The new mother kept her whole pregnancy a secret from the media until the day of delivery and she broke the news herself with a photo of her holding her baby on a hospital bed which went viral minutes after she had posted it. This was quite a stunt that many couldn’t have managed to pull off.

Congrats again Juliana.
