After an in depth analysis, BigEyeUg brings you a list of musicians who were talented and predicted to be stars but wasted their talents.
Dizzy Nuts Galiwango
Dizzy Nuts, popularly known for his deep voice, was discovered by Bebe Cool and spent the bright days of his music career in Gagamel. He appeared on some of Bebe Cool’s songs like “Burn Dem” which became a hit and even did music tours up country with him. But things changed when Dizzy Nuts decided to go solo and left his mentor. He has failed to release a hit for years now and he is mostly seen hanging out in cheap bars and clubs around Kireka.
Henry Tigan
When Henry Tigan broke out with his singles like “Wadawa” and “Abogezi”, many thought he would be the next big star in Uganda’s music industry. He had a promising talent which got him a couple of international collabos like “World of Scandals” with Jamaica’s Marlon Asher & Princess Rita. But things changed when he separated with his promoter Suudiman in 2008 and joined Firebase, until now the singer hasn’t produced any hit.
Rabadaba
The “Bwekiri” hit maker had it all going great for him in his first 3 years of his career doing collabos with top artists like GoodLyfe, Swangz Avenue among others. But life changed for the worst when he got a misunderstanding with the Good Lyfe and temporary joined Chameleone’s Leone Island where he produced no hit but was only seen appearing in music videos like Yung Mulo’s “Tebakusobola” and Chameleone’s “Owakabi”. He has been struggling lately for a comeback doing songs with Don Mc and other artists but he is yet to re-establish himself again.
Madox Ssematimba
He is a music legend and he did many hits in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. He was at one time dubbed the “king of reggae” in Uganda. He is popular for his many songs like “Namagembe” that Ugandans enjoyed. But after he started on alcohol, he got so addicted, neglecting his career, and was regularly seen in Nankulabye taking alcohol in bufundas. Attempts to help him get his groove back have been all in vain.
