Apart from over hyping their social events, some Ugandan celebrities have gone to the extent of becoming stunt masters in order to remain relevant to fans. They will do anything to end up in the news or pull crowds to their shows, parties or concerts. Presenting the top five trick star Ugandan celebs of 2014.
Eddy Kenzo
When he fought with a journalist recently, everyone thought that the “Sitya Loss” singer was serious about the whole fight until we revealed that it was all stage managed. According to an insider source, the whole Kasuku-Kenzo fracas was planned days before the event. Questions were designed and a plan put together for the artiste to pounce onto the journalist as soon as a specific question was asked. It was just a marketing stunt.
Pallaso Mayanja
From the time he came to perform at the Amaaso concert and never returned back to the US, Pallaso has been using the fighting stunt to sell his music to the public. From fighting with his brothers to beating anyone who opposes him to beating up Weasel’s wife Samira, Pallaso has really built his music on violence. He is one of the best stunt masters Uganda has seen in 2014.
Desire Luzinda
She knew that the only way to become international was to do something out of the box. She decided to save her limping music career by taking nude shots. Somehow they were leaked and a scapegoat found. Desire has managed to ride on the nude photo leak to get more gigs, launch new tracks and get interviews with every TV and radio station including BBC TV. The only thing she has failed to get out of are her financial woes.
Dr. Jose Chameleone
Leone island boss, Chameleone, is good with his stunts. He will play the entire country and keep them like that for as long as he wants. Recently he started something about his car being impounded by URA in order to pull crowds to his Tubonge concert. Despite the rain, Ugandans flocked Lugogo to watch Chameleone with some sympathizing with him and blaming URA for trying to stop his show. He is the king of all trick star celebs in Uganda.
Zari
She is also on this list, just like she is on all the other bad lists. The boss lady always looks for trouble and somehow gets out of it. The city socialite recently had her own sex tape released to the public in an alleged bid to get more partiers flocking her all white party due 18th December. According to google trends, Zari’s sex tape leak has been the most talked about thing in Uganda for the past few days and this could pay off with a huge turn up at her party this week.
