The twins, Raymon Kato and Rayden Wasswa who the minister described as the kids he loved the most in his life perished in a swimming pool at home while the parents were away.

Arrests have been made following the death of the innocent souls. Four suspects have been arrested for negligence.

Celebrities like Desire Luzinda have issued statements condoling with the minister, his wife, and family at large.

My heart bleeds for you my dear friend and your darling wife. From the day you welcomed these angels you have always excitedly reminded us that you are a salongo. It’s a dark world for such uncertainty and no words can comfort you but only God can. May God comfort you, heal you and know that even though I am not there in person, I am with you in prayer. – Desire posted.

I am deeply saddened by the news of loss of the Hon minister ssalongo kibuule Ronald’s two innocent little souls. I pray that God grants him and the entire family strength to go through this very hard time. My heartfelt condolences. Rip to the little ones – Ykee Benda.

Although most celebs empathized with the minister, a section of Ugandans took to the Internet to make fun of him despite the pain that he and the family are going through. As BigEyeUg we urge the public to be more empathetic in such situations.

Addressing media, Brenda Nanyonjo, the Kezzi Entertainment director and Miss Uganda CEO, said that registration kicked off on Monday. “We are looking for young and confident girls. On top of the usual attributes like age and height, we will also be keen on personality and character.” She said.

Like the 2018 edition, contestants will be scouted from the different regions across the country. “We will hold regional searches, but because we don’t have ample time, we will be scouting for contestants in two regions on the same day.” Nanyonjo noted.

The lucky candidates will then be heading to boot-camp on July 6th, before the ultimate winner is crowned on July 27 during a ceremony that will be hosted at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

Meanwhile, socialite Zari Hassan will return as the Miss Uganda 2019 patron and will also still be one of the judges. The socialite was among the judges of 2018 Miss Uganda beauty pageant where Abenakyo Quiin was crowned. Abenakyo went on to win Miss World Africa crown.
