Stella Nyanzi And Bajjo Face Arrest

By BigEyeUg Team; Female activist Professor Stella Nyanzi and events promoter Andy Mukasa aka Bajjo are to spend the entire night behind Police cells.

This sparks verge after the two People Power political group preachers facing arrest today along Buganda road, Kampala.

The two were arrested in a comical protest staged against the current COVID-19 Lockdown that has propelled starvation among Ugandans.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Oweyesigire, the two have been arrested and will be fronted before court within the next 48hours for cases in-line with inciting violence.

The Belgium Gospel Singer dropped the audio for her first song of the year, TAKE OVER on April 21st, 2020 just few days before she celebrates her birthday. The singer had said she planned on releasing the single as a taste of what was to come – we assumed her Album – but the time just never seemed right until recently.

The single which was produced by the Nigerian music producer SMJ and mixed and mastered by Limoblaze represents the yearning of the human spirit for God and calling out to Him to take over in the situation that we find ourselves in especially at a time such as this.

Following the release of this high-energy worship single, the Nigeria born Belgium artiste is out with an amazing and colorful visual for the song TAKE OVER directed by industry favorite, Lawrence Omo-Iyare.

Ugandan multi talented singer, song writer and instrumentalist Giovanni Kremer Kiyingi ha dropped a new song dubbed Kama Dudu.

The skillful instrumentalist’s track is a mid-tempo and uplifting jam where Kiyingi sings sweetly in Swahili and English passing on good vibes of no stress on whatever is happening around the world.

Kama Dudu is a jovial mood song that encourages inity through dance, love, sharing food and water. Kama Dudu is a track under his soon to be released 4 song EP titled ‘Chengi’. To many, he is a new act, yet for those interested in modern folklore, he has been doing music for the last 10 years but he has been mainly a festival and academic artist who has performed at several festivals across the global.

He is widely known for playing local Ugandan instruments like the fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others.

Jamaican duo Brick and Lace re-unite after 7 years to perform on TAG TV’s jam fest this Sunday

Talent Africa and  TAG Studios present the TAG TV JAM FEST (Volume 1) showing this Sunday May 31st at 7:30pm on Talent Africa’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. 

This special dancehall infused edition will feature the reunion of Jamaican born musical duo Brick & Lace comprised of sisters Nailah and Nyanda Thorbourne. After massive success from 2006 to 2013 the duo who were signed to Akon’s Konvict Live label toured extensively in Africa, North America, Europe and the Caribbean with their smash hit singles “Love is Wicked”, “Never Never”, “Bad to di Bone” and many more. In 2013 they split to pursue solo careers which have also been equally successful.  For the first time in 7 years the sisters will come together for one of their first performances dedicated to their fans in Uganda & East Africa. 

#TAGJamFest is hosted by the Naselow Da Don and features performances from some of Uganda’s leading dancehall artists like Nutty Neithan, Beenie Gunter, Vampino and Weasel. The show also features the Party Pipo dance crew who plan to help turn up the vibe in your home. Word has it that Luzira based Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) is backing the NBS KatchUp show with an undisclosed amount starting this Friday.

UBL through its premium beers, Tusker Malt Larger, Tusker Lite and Guinness will be sponsoring the show on rotation. The sponsorship which kicks off this Friday will kick off with Guinness.
