Super League side Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) on Tuesday announced they had parted company with their coach Alex Isabirye.
In a statement released by the club’s Media and Communications Manager Leon Ssenyange on, Isabirye leaves his post with immediate effect.
“Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) would like to announce that Alex Isabirye has resigned his role as Head Coach with immediate effect because of domestic and personal reasons,” reads in part a statement from the club.
Isabirye has been in charge at SCVU since February 1, 2013 and led the club to the Uganda Cup during his reign.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to him for his tireless efforts, hard work and dedication throughout his tenure,” adds the communication.
“The club would also like to take this opportunity to wish Alex Isabirye well for the future.”
Morley Byekwaso, who has been serving as assistant coach, takes over as in the interim. In the same vein, former Cranes leftback Nestroy Kizito has been appointed as club Co-ordinator. Moses Oloya maintains his position as goalkeepers coach.
