Blankets and Wine event is back again this year and this time dancehall star A pass and Lillian Mbabazi alongside South Africa’s Zahara will headline performances at the upcoming tenth edition that is slated for September 27th at the Uganda Museum.
Blankets & Wine is East Africa’s premier music experience designed to showcase outstanding musicians in the emerging genres of afro-based music and the the event has been growing each year.
The last blankets and wine event was held on May 3rd and it left so many people ecstatic following electric performances put on from a lineup of artists that included Eric Wainana who was the main act of the day, Janzi Band, Suzan Kerunen, Radio and Weasel among others.
According to Muthoni the founder of the Blankets and Wine event, she says that reason to why the event has been brought for the second time in a row is because Ugandans enjoy music, love musicians, partying and the thing that was missing in the Ugandan scene.
She also added that since the event is sponsored by Tusker Malt Lager, they are always happy to connect with their consumers and promised to make it bigger every time by bringing interesting blend of contemporary, afro pop and dance artistes .
We have also learnt that Wines from outside will be accepted though there will be plenty of wines, scotch, whiskey and beer on sale at the Uganda Museum!! Entrance charge is UgX 80,000.
