Silo 15 celebrated its first anniversary in grand style on Wednesday, thanks to Don Julio- the event partner, and the patrons that turned up in droves.
Headlining “Silo at One” was South African star- DBN Gogo. She took control of the decks with unmatched energy, dropping an explosive set filled with chart-topping Amapiano hits.
Tracks like Khuza Gogo, Bells, Ketseng, and Possible had the crowd on their feet, moving in perfect sync with the beats. The energy in the venue was contagious, and it was further heightened by Etania and her crew, whose infectious dance moves ignited an all-out rave on the dance floor.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary celebration. The driveway had been transformed into a glamorous red-carpet affair, complete with a cultural showcase, with drummers and traditional dancers, that added a unique feel to the entire atmosphere, as guests walked the runway.
The dancers performed different traditional sets, originating from Burundi, Rwanda, and Western Uganda, which set the tone for how grand the night would turn out.
Inside Silo, the energy was nothing short of electrifying. The night featured an impressive lineup of Kampala’s hottest Disc Spinners which included City Girl, Selector Jay, Etania aka Life of the Party, DJ Sesse, and DJ Dash.
But beyond the music, one element took the night to another level Don Julio; the luxury tequila brand made every toast, every bottle, and every moment feel premium.
As the official beverage sponsor for the celebrations, Don Julio was at the heart of the party, ensuring that the anniversary was nothing short of a premium enjoyment.
Simon Lapyem, the Don Julio’s brand representative, echoed the sentiment, stating, “Silo 15 has become a lifestyle. Bottles have been popped, shots swallowed, and glasses have been raised in honour of Silo 15’s milestone. We are happy to have been a part of this. This was no ordinary night; it was a high-end experience powered by premium tequila and world-class entertainment.”
Speaking about the hangout’s first anniversary, Ryan Aine, the Silo 15 CEO said; “One year ago, we set out to redefine the nightlife in Kampala, and today, we celebrate a journey filled with unforgettable moments, incredible people, and partners who believe in our vision. We look forward to many more years of creating premium experiences for our patrons.”
The night stretched well into the early hours of Thursday morning, with revelers only starting to exit at about 4am.
