Sheraton Kampala Hotel serves Iftar to over 400 orphans to celebrate Ramadan with them.

Sheraton Kampala Hotel celebrated Ramadan with over 400 orphans from different schools in and out of Kampala. Sheraton hosted orphans and their caretakers from over five schools. Some of the schools present were Wakataayi S.S, New Midland Islamic primary school, Iqra Children center, Coffs Islamic school to mention but a few. The orphans feasted on meticulously prepared dinner and drinks by the highly qualified Sheraton chefs.

Sheraton has been serving Iftar to Muslim orphans from Kampala and neighbouring areas during Ramadan since 2007 and this is as a give backto socie ty. This is as part of their CSR program and every year they feed orphans and the needy during Ramadan.

We organized this Iftar because we believe its part of our responsibility of nurturing new leaders and feeding being one core responsibility as elders to the children and Sheraton emulates this. Sheraton being in the hospitality business, this is sync to our core values and we believe it’s a honourable cause considering these children are orphans who need our support to grow”. Said Sheraton Kampala Hotel General Manager Jean-Philippe Bittencourt.

“We are very happy to always have this gathering because it makes us feel very proud when we see these children and the needy smile and happy. We shall continue giving the best service to our customers and we encourage everyone to come and experience our services. The background of the Iftar children dinner is as backed by our hospitality and unique service we offer our customers. We encourage all the children and Ugandans to use this period for constructive things and also unite fir a better tomorrow.” Concluded Mr.Bittencourt.
