Bebe Cool has conceded after losing out on the “Artiste of the Year” award at the HiPipo Music awards that were held at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Saturday. He lost to female singer Sheebah Karungi.
Sheebah Kirungi had an exceptional music year in 2016 and was tipped by many to win the coveted award. Like the industry observers, Bebe Cool seems to agree that Sheebah, indeed, outshone him in 2016.
Speaking after the award ceremony, the “Love Your Everyday” hitmaker admitted that Sheebah was deserving of the award.
“I congratulate my little sister Sheebah Karungi upon winning artist of the year,” he said, before going on to concede that “you deserved it”.
Meanwhile, Bebe Cool was also a big winner on the evening, taking home four accolades including Music Icon of the Decade, Best Male Artiste, Best Reggae Song and Song of the Year.
