Uganda-Dennis-Guma-300Defenders Denis Guma and Savio Kabugo are back training with Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) after the pair reportedly apologized to authorities.

The two missed the club’s 3-0 defeat away to DRC’s CS Don Bosco at the weekend through suspension.

They were suspended for failing to report to the club’s training after returning from national duty with Uganda Cranes at the African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa.

Mike Sserumaga, the other senior player on suspension, was expelled from the team camp prior the trip to DRC and his situation is still unresolved.

But Leon Ssenyange, the SCVU media and communications manager, confirmed to SuperSport.com that Kabugo and Guma are back training.

“Yes they are back training,” he told us, adding, “They apologized and the bosses allowed them back in. They understand that they made a mistake.”

The two players, automatic starters when available, were hugely missed in Congo and coach Morley Byekwaso will count on them to put in a shift when SCVU attempt to overturn a 3-0 defeat against Don Bosco at Namboole this Sunday.
