Its now official that the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda at the same time Bukedea district Woman Member of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among and Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President, also Budiope East legislator Moses Hassim Magogo are husband and wife.
This follows photos making rounds on social media revealing that the two held a traditional marriage ceremony over the weekend at Hon. Among’s parental home in Bukedea district.
The lowkey closed door event was attended by only a fleet of their close colleagues that included; Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Thomas Tayebwa and Kasambya County MP Hon. David Kabanda.
However, Hon. Magogo has been lashed by social media in-laws after he is said to already be married to a one Dorah Ssali a.k.a Della Ssali who introduced him in a traditional ceremony at her parental home in Nateete in 2017.
According to the law of the Republic of Uganda, such a customary marriage may be polygamous.
According to intimates, Speaker Among was supposed to be in her constituency (Bukedea) to donate some medical equipment but she rather delegated someone to represent her because she had some ‘personal matters’ to attend to.
Hon. Magogo and Speaker Among are said to have dated close to 5years before deciding to officialize their relationship.
