Sadolin stun KCCA at Lugogo in the UPL

Jinja based side Sadolin Paints stunned the Uganda Premier League (UPL) defending champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) yesterday with a 2-1 defeat at the Phillip Omondi Stadium at Lugogo.

A goal from Fred Segujja and Isaac Muyanga in each half were enough to sink the ‘Kasasiro Boys’ who are still struggling to find their form since being dumped out of the CAF champions league by Cameroon’s Cosmos De Bafia.

A 39th minute equalizer from the industrious Herman Wasswa wasn’t enough to save the yellows at their own stadium.

The loss for the defending champions not only leaves their chances of reclaiming the title in doubt but also leaves head coach Abdallah Mubiru’s job in question after furious fans wanted to beat him up for failing to live to their expectations and the abilities of the team.

Despite the loss, KCC remained 3rd on the 16-team table with 37 points from 19 matches while Sadolin moved to 10th spot with 24 points from 20 games.
