RYAN GIGGS is confident Manchester United will stick to their traditions, despite the club’s summer spending spree.
United lavished over £150million in the transfer window, more than any other club in the summer.
The Red Devils have made a slow start to life under Louis van Gaal, but Giggs is convinced the club won’t abandon their fundamental principles.
“The club will never change,” Giggs said.
“The history of the club is to play exciting football, give youngsters a chance and keep to the traditions of the club.”
Giggs also has faith that the club’s youth policy will reap dividends.
“It will always happen that players will leave Manchester United but we’ve got to make sure that young players come through because United fans demand it,” he added.
“I want to see them come through as well. Fans never get on the backs of the young players if they make a mistake.
“They always encourage them. That has always been the history of Manchester United and we never want to lose that.”
