Robin Thicke professed his love for estranged wife Paula Patton at a recent concert.
The couple announced in a joint statement in February that they were separating after almost nine years of marriage.
Thicke broke his silence on the separation last week, saying: “I’m just trying to get her back… We’re just trying to figure it out.”
Thicke addressed the split once again at an Atlantic City gig by dedicating a version of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ to Patton, reports E! News.
After a fan shouted that they loved Patton, Thicke replied: “I do, too.”
He was quoted as later telling the crowd: “Never stop believing and never stop loving. And even if it is over, make sure you treat each other right. Treat your family right.
“Take care of your mum, take care of your kids and good things will come to you. Just keep believing that God is good.
“That’s what gets me by. Sometimes when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and spread joy.”
Thicke’s dedication came just days after he made a similar declaration of love for Patton at a Virginia show.
“For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated,” he said then. “But I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman.”
Patton and Thicke were married in 2005.
