Last night was a sad one in the entertainment industry following the untimely loss of a young dancer named Alex Ssempijja. The deceased was part of the Sitya Loss/Triplet dancers otherwise known as the Ghetto Kids.
Who was Alex?
Alex Ssempijja, also referred to as the Outlaw by his peers, was one of the five Sitya Loss dancers. He was born to Irene Nabbona, a hairstylist, and Ronald Musisi, a trader.
He abandoned going to school when he was only seven years because of lack of fees. He joined dancing on the invitation of his manager Dauda Kavuma back in 2010. Here, he perfected his dancing skills and ended up featuring in Eddy Kenzo’s Mundeke Numbe and later the famous Sitya Loss video.
Alex worked closely with his manager and fellow dancers; Bashir Lubega, Isaac Tumusiime, Fred Tumwusigye and Patricia Nabakooza. He had also resumed his studies and was working hard to become a better person.
His biggest dream was to become President of Uganda and change the world through dance.
We will keep you posted.
