Good things are happening for musicians Radio and Weasel who have signed a multi-million deal with MTN Uganda.
According to news coming in from our sources at the telecom giant, the “Omwana Wa Bandi” singers who fell out with their promoter months back and opted to promote themselves at their concert next month, have been given loads of cash for the concert.
Although we have not been told how much the dynamic duo is making from this deal, word has it that they will be smiling all the way to the bank. The deal comes weeks after the singers fell out with their long time promoter Bobkins.
Our sources have confirmed that Bobkins even offered to give the singers more money than usual and they still refused to work with him.
“He thought it was about money when they told him that in May they will not be working with him. He gave them 80 million shillings for the show and they refused,” a source told us recently.
Radio and Weasel recently put their manager Chagga in charge of their show which is on red alert following threats of boycott from fans. Also, there have been other shows that have been put on the same date as theirs. Mathias Walukaga will have a show at Freedom city, Mikie and Bobi Wine will also be holding a show at Busabala on the same day.
We will keep you posted.
