They may be at the verge of a breakup, but Radio and Weasel sure know how to care for others especially for children.
We have found out that the singing duo has been dedicating a big amount of their income to fund St Maria Gorreti Primary School in Buziga for a very long time.
The duo who visit the school often have been praised by the proprietor Miss Ssali who looks after the orphans in the school. Miss Ssali says that Radio and Weasel first facilitated her by investing in a poultry project in order to be able to sustain the school. But they later started extending financial assistance as well.
She also noted that all the children at the school are forever grateful to Radio and Weasel and requests other musicians to follow suit.
Radio’s choice to support the kids comes against the background that he was personally helped by many people as he grew up. “I personally grew up with help from different people. Even now, it’s music lovers that pay for the shows I do and I get something, so why not share the little with such people,” Radio told a local tabloid.
