The president of Uganda yesterday made a surprise call to the Ugandan National football team head coach, Micho, as he wished him and the entire team the best of luck in their qualifier game against Guinea.
The president who was at his home in Rwakitura delivered the message in the early hours of Tuesday.
“Our boys need to position well during corner kicks because in the games against Ethiopia and Ghana, we got two goals from such set pieces. Also, don’t panic. Don’t play under any pressure. Ugandans are proud of you. Qualify and be part of history,” The President said.
Uganda only needs a point to qualify for the Africa cup of Nations tournament next year. The Cranes beat giants Ghana 1 – 0 on Saturday and are on verge of qualifying for the first time since 1978.
