Producer Richard Kaweesa appointed a judge at AFRIMMA Awards.

The latest we have on our desks is that Richard Kaweesa, a singer and producer, has earned himself a once in a life time opportunity; he was appointed as one of the panelists that will judge the forth coming prestigious African awards–the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA).

Kaweesa, who is the leader of Yoga Yoga Uganda at 50, was seemingly shocked with the news as he posted on his facebook timeline that “And now AFRICA has its global music Awards”. 

AFRIMMA awarding ceremony will be held at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, USA on 26th July this very year.

In other news, due to complaints by several African artistes that they are in remote areas where internet access is a huge blow, which renders them less competitive in comparison to their counterparts living in cities, AFRIMMA in conjunction with African Union Commission has extended the call and submission of entries for the 2014 Continental award project edition by two more weeks, from July 5 to July 19, 2014.
