Kampala Police are actively pursuing a group of people led by Pallaso, who are accused of attacking the home of fellow artist Alien Skin in Kizungu zone, Makindye division.
The incident reportedly took place on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at around 9:00 am.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed that the case, categorized as aggravated robbery and malicious damage, is under investigation by the Katwe Police.
According to Onyango, the complaint was filed by Alien Skin, whose real name is Patrick Mulwana. Victims identified in the case include Mugabi Julius and a man only identified as Baker.
Police reports indicate that Pallaso and his associates allegedly used weapons such as pangas, pit axes, hammers, and stones to commit the offenses.
The attack is believed to have stemmed from a disagreement between Alien Skin and Pallaso during a performance at a music show in Buloba, Wakiso District.
According to Onyango, the conflict escalated, resulting in an early morning attack on Alien Skin’s residence at approximately 3:00am.
Although police officers from Makindye Police Station repelled the initial assault, a second attack occurred at 9:00 am, causing extensive damage.
Police reported that five motor vehicles, including their windshields and lights, were destroyed during the attack.
Additionally, three houses sustained significant damage, with shattered glass windows.
The suspects are also accused of stealing UGX 6Million in cash.
Two victims are currently receiving medical treatment at Mengo Hospital, with investigations ongoing.
The feud between the two musicians allegedly began during the Nkuuka annual concert held at Lubiri Palace on December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
A fistfight broke out between the two groups, which continued into the Buloba show and culminated in the alleged attack on Alien Skin’s home.
The Uganda Police issued a statement condemning gang-related violence among musicians, vowing to hold all responsible parties accountable.
“The Uganda Police has observed a trend among musicians who are utilizing gangs to intimidate one another, leading to disorder and chaos at public events and entertainment places,” the statement read.
The police emphasized that such behavior, which has resulted in significant property damage and chaos, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
