Over the weekend, Jinja was all the buzz as party lovers and music enthusiasts thronged Jinja Golf Club for the annual Nyege Nyege Music Festival. The four-day festival, which ran from Thursday afternoon through Sunday evening, brought together people from all walks of life for a weekend of unbridled fun and enjoyment.

Unlike the previous edition which merged four venues, this year’s festival was held at a single location, making it easier for people to move around and enjoy different activities.

The festival offered a diverse music lineup across seven stages, catering to various tastes. Revelers enjoyed cultural rhythms from traditional dance troupes, electronic dance music at the Hakuna Kulala stage, and genres like reggae, afro-beats, pop music, and more on the Uganda Waragi main stage.

There were also live performances from several artistes including Kenneth Mugabi, Pia Pounds, and Elijah Kitaka, among others.

As the title sponsor, Uganda Waragi embodied its slogan ‘the spirit that binds us’. The vibes at the Uganda Waragi tent were infectious, reflecting the joy and celebratory spirit of us as Ugandans.

Beyond the music, the festival dazzled with art murals, an array of food stalls, and free hydration stations to keep the energy high and the partying responsible.

Here are some photos from the festival:
