Uganda’s Nobel Prize nominee, Victor Ochen, met up with renowned footballer Ricardo Kaka in New York yesterday. The two met after Ochen delivered a speech at a High Summit during the UN General Assembly with speakers including Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of the UN.
Victor Ochen, after being nominated for the prestigious Nobel Prize, has been globe-trotting for his selfless support for people whose lives were affected by the LRA war in Northern Uganda. He heads an NGO called African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET). During his visit to New York, he met different global icons including former Ballon D’or winner, Kaka, who now plies his trade at Orlando City FC in MLS.
