The Pearl Of Africa Fashion Awards (PAFA) are back in their second edition this year. The fashion awards are slated for December. The awards are geared towards recognizing talent beyond Kampala and the central region.
Pearl of Africa Fashion Awards founder and CEO, Yoweri Munamasaka said that this year’s event will encourage new entrants to the fashion industry, but also seek to provide a platform for young, unemployed youth to get jobs in the industry.
“Last year there was cash and other prizes unveiled at the nomination gala, but this time around the country should await for a mega prize and surprise come the 15th of December 2018,” he noted.
According to the organisers, the submissions will open in October and the nomination list will be out in November.
