Dancehall sensation A Pass has no kind words for the government. The “Gamululu” singer has blasted the government saying it “doesn’t care about us”. He vented his anger on social media where he posted:
“The government doesn’t care about you, These people care about animals and plants but they don’t care about the young people and our communities. Down here people are hungry, people have no jobs and especially the young people yet we are the future. The taxes are so high but because they are indirect many don’t see how we are affected. But What do they expect us to do !!!
I know a big percentage of young people in Uganda ask themselves everyday if they will ever get a good job that the government promised them after they got their degree, only to find out that the government lied.
They are giving no one support after education but they deliver empty talk and sweet words like be job creators!!!! But how ? How ? How ?
The government should learn from their mistakes, they have done some good and so much bad…. And we are not impressed.
Most of you are rich at the expense of the poor people and you go back home in your nice cars at night, sleep and wake up in the morning with a smile and I wonder what kind of hearts you have you greedy bunch of people. #Gamululu
We have been good to the government the government has been bad to us and they know they are guilty.
Some of you will be saying you have worked for your money and you feel you deserve it but you owe us because We all deserve something.
You have not just taken our income but you have taken our hope for a better tomorrow.
Some of the people out there are mentally defeated but we shall go though this and all will be well. Hold The Faith brothers and sisters.”
