Former Leone Island singer Papa Cidy declared his association with the LGBTQ Pride movement, creating a stir among netizens.
The revelation came through a Facebook post, where he hinted at being tired of hiding and suggested that it was time for him to come out.
Papa Cidy, who has been living in the diaspora for a few years since leaving Uganda in pursuit of better opportunities, wrote, “Am tired of hiding myself, it’s time to be out. Pastor Kayanja ebyaffe obimanyi. Miracle Center Cathedral.” The post also included a rainbow flag, a universal symbol of LGBTQ Pride.
His decision to tag renowned Ugandan cleric Pastor Robert Kayanja and the Miracle Center Cathedral has raised eyebrows, with many questioning the connection between the singer and the pastor.
