The organizing committee for the 2013 Olive Gospel Awards have agreed on 2nd November as the day when all the roads will be heading to Serena Conference hall for people to witness the champions of gospel music in Uganda 2013 being crowned.

Last year’s awards registered a lot of success and according to people that attended the event, they commended the organizers for doing a fabulous job pointing out the systematic approach to the whole event.

According to the awards Chairperson, the committee set this date basing on a fact that the year will be ending and all gospel artistes will be sealing off 2013 and therefore the awards will be summing up the year. He also added that he believes this year’s event will be one of it’s kind as they have arranged a series of other events to spice up the awarding ceremony that include performances from renown gospel musicians, cultural dancers and many more.

Nominations for the awards in every category are open to the public to choose who they feel should be in a particular category and this commenced on 1st September and will be going on till 26th and on the same day, the committee will organize a bash for all the nominees.
