At the tail end of May 2019, entertainer Martha Kay, who has made a name for herself by shooting funny comedy clips and posting them on the internet, got the worst shock of her life after her nude pictures were posted on the internet. The comments that followed were heartbreaking not only for her but all those who know and follow her.
Following the incident, which appears to be have been a revenge porn scenario, the entertainer is back with a new TV series in the offing.
According to Martha Kay real names Martha Kemigisha Kagimba, she went through the most challenging and yet most empowering phase in her life as she shut down for 3 months.
She told fans that; “The last 3 months have probably been the most challenging I have ever had to face and yet the most empowering!
I have learned that it is not what happens to you, but how you react that matters at the end of the day. (not how you fall, but how you get UP!) Taking this time off has given me a chance to breathe, reflect, recharge and strategize on what I truly want for my life. I have been learning, unlearning and relearning a lot of things so as to grow into a much better, wiser, and STRONGER version of myself.”
Martha in her comeback message went ahead to appreciate everyone who has stood by her during the time when she was at her worst. “It has been quite a journey, but I am so grateful I did not have to go through it alone!
Everyone that has called, texted, visited, prayed, stood up for me and supported me; I am eternally Grateful!! 😭❤ To My sweet friends and Amazing FAMILY, only God will Reward You for me! 😘🙏🏽😊 That said, I CHOOSE today to focus my energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
