The singer & Hip-hop star Navio has won an Award for Eastern African Act of the year in the annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He beat the likes of Camp Mulla, Radio and Weasel, K’naan, P-Unit and Fally Ipupa that had all been nominated in the same category. This took place in New York City in the United States on Monday, 02nd September, 2013.
This comes after Jose Chameleone scooped the Best International Male Artiste award in the Africa Entertainment Awards on Saturday. September already seems to be a bright month for Ugandan musicians and the Music industry at large.
Navio got an opportunity to rub shoulders with distinguished Nigerian movie actress Rita Dominic, who also won the Best Lead Actress and also to share the same stage with Ice Prince who grabbed the Best Rap Act of the year while Olamide was rewarded for the Best indigenous group/Best album of the year.
