Longtime Ugandan singer Naira Ali has expressed her disappointment with the current state of Ugandan music, describing it as lacking quality and substance.

In a video shared on her social media, the artist stated that she has noticed a significant decline in the standards of music produced by many new Ugandan artists.
She described the music as “total bullsh*t” and “nonsensical,” expressing her frustration with the current trends.
“It’s been a while since I listened to Ugandan music, but the music is really bad,” Naira Ali remarked. She also questioned the state of the industry, wondering what had happened to the real Ugandan artists who once set high standards.
“Oba what sort of artists are we producing now?” she captioned the video, showing her concern over the direction Ugandan music is taking.
Naira Ali is one of Uganda’s seasoned musicians, known for her soulful voice and meaningful lyrics. Her comments have sparked debates among fans and fellow artists about the evolution of the music industry in Uganda.
