Ugandan rapper Flex D Paper who almost lost his life at a hostel in Wandegeya on Saturday after he was shot is steadily recovering.
The musician who had gone to check on his friends at Karlmax hostel didn’t know that he would end up in hospital from a gunshot wound. He was shot in the leg by security at the hostel and later rushed to Case clinic.
Flex’s friend told us that the rapper is recovering very well and hopes to be up soon if the doctors comments are anything to go by. “He is recovering well, since the first aid was good. The doctors have helped a lot and also given him medication as well as the cuts are being dressed and they say he will be better soon, since it wasn’t that severe. They say that he will be up and moving anytime soon, the first day is what was too bad but the improvement is very significant now,” said his close friend and manager.
According to the medical report, Flex was shot in the leg but only his thigh was affected. Luckily for the “Shutting down towns” artiste, none of his bones was destroyed by the bullet.
He is currently in talks with the Karlmax hostel management as they seek an amicable settlement after the shooting incident by their askari. Several complaints have been lodged about the Askari allegedly reporting for duty at the hostel under the influence.
Residents at Karlmax hostel were quick to accuse the askari of using cheap drugs and a lot of alcohol while on duty after the incident on Saturday. “He takes a lot of liquor and has a gun. Sooner or later he will kill someone if management doesn’t do something about it,” said Grace who puts up at the hostel.
