One Ugandan gospel musician who is dedicated when it comes to supporting local talent is Exodus known for his Igwe song. The singer who has been seen at all big music events including Chameleone’s unplugged show at Silk and Bebe Cool’s Best of Bebe Cool concert is a big fan of local music.
However, all didn’t go well for him when he went to Serena Hotel to support Gagamel boss Bebe Cool. We are told that he was conned by goons masquerading as Gagamel Phamily members. It all started with the sellout of the concert. By 9pm there were no seats and people were even standing outside to catch the show at Serena.
Exodus arrived with his friends and demanded to be let in for the show. The no nonsense security personnel then asked for his swipe card which he didn’t have. He was then pushed outside in the parking lot with no choice but to go home.
It is at this point that goons wearing Bebe Cool shirts and pretending to be part of the Gagamel phamily approached him and asked for 100,000shs for each of the people he was with in order to enter the concert area. The singer then reached for his wallet and paid 300,000shs. The goons disappeared shortly after with all the money and no help whatsoever.
Exodus reported to police but no help could be rendered since it was very difficult to trace the goons in the thousands of people at the event. Exodus was only helped by Bebe Cool’s sister to get in for the show.
