There is something about Navio’s videos. They are artistic, eye-candy and flawless with sprinkles of creativity in them. Among other things, the Klear Kut honcho has mastered the art of putting his proverbial eggs in one basket; outworking himself in churning out videos. Word wafting on the grapevine always has it that his videos always cost an arm, a kidney and, well, a pancreas? They are expensive. And you can easily tell. The smoking hot girls that muck around with their spectacular smiles and little garments. The state-of-the-art juggernauts. The place where the video is being shot from. And the location. But then again, Navio seems to have been born with a silver spoon; he is well-heeled. Thus, he can manage any video he fancies.
The much-awaited ‘Something About You’ dropped and, oh, boy, does it look spectacular! Navio, in most of his videos, seems to target a wider market across our borders. He wants his videos to be Channel O material et al. And, unsurprisingly, they make the mark. They are well-executed. The picture is always crystal clear and with a location that leaves you agape, ogling in envy. ‘Something About You’, I gather, was shot in South Africa. There is something about the girls in the video. To me, those daughters of Eve sold out the video and feast much credit. And the director seemed to have a working head. He directed it very well, something you wouldn’t say of most of our indigenous videos. Most of our videos are crappy. They might render a giraffe to weep. But Something About You breaks away from the charade. This is a good video and, yes, 2014 has rained nothing, but a hurricane of good videos.
