Mun*G, Winnie Nwagi unveiled as Crown Beverages Brand Ambassadors in Multi-Million Deal

Crown Beverages Limited, the bottler of Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, 7Up and Evervess, has today, unveiled award-winning musicians; Mun G and Winnie Nwagi as its brand Ambassadors.

During the unveiling of the musicians in Kampala, Mr. Jeff Sekandi, the Ag. Head of Marketing at Crown Beverages Limited, said Mun G and Nwagi will headline CBL brand activities going forward.

“Today’s ceremony is of great significance to the growth of our brands in Uganda and the rest of East Africa. Our collaboration with Mun G* and Winnie Nwagi is very strategic because from today, they will play a central role in entertaining our consumers and raising awareness about our soft drinks and brand activities, among our customers and potential consumers of our brands,”

He added that, the award-winning music stars were chosen because of their influence, character and quality of music. “Their music is exciting, entertaining, and appeals to all ages and classes of people. It also epitomizes the Ugandan way of life and anyone can easily relate to it and their lives.”

According to the contract signed by the two musicians, their ambassadorial roles start with immediate effect.

“I am very happy to be signed up by Crown Beverages Limited, a reputable bottler of some of the world’s best soda brands which also has a passion for music. Associating with the company is a step in the right direction for me,” said Mun*G.

According to Winnie Nwagi, the new relationship with Pepsi will grow her as an artiste and in return, raise her profile to the international level because of its global reach.

“I am excited to join the Pepsi family and motivated to positively contribute to the growth of its wonderful brands in Uganda. I also look forward to working with Mun*G,” said Nwagi.

Mun G* is a top award-winning Ugandan artiste known for hits like; Sala Puleesa, Sejjusa, Byayanga among others. He is signed to Kunta Kinte Entertainment record label while Winnie Nwagi is an award winning songstress with hits like “Musawo, Magic, Kibulamu, Katono Katono”, among others. Winnie is signed to Swangz Avenue, one of the leading music production houses in Uganda.

The new CBL ambassadors will be involved in exciting activities across the country which will build CBL’s relationship with customers in Uganda and boost sales. CBL recently reduced the price of the 330ml bottle from 1,200 to 1,000 shs for Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Mirinda.
