The annual Nile Perch Fishing Classic hosted by Entebbe Sailing Club in conjunction with The Victoria Mall Entebbe was held this Sunday, 22nd November. Out of over 20 competitors, Douglas Mukwaya once again emerged as the winner, with a hefty 17kg Nile Perch.

Mukwaya, who is a cold chain logistics specialist by profession, loves to fish as a way of relieving stress and socializing. He won the Arthur De Mello competition earlier this year with a 4kg Nile Perch.

Douglas walked away with a king size Eurofoam mattress and eight tickets to NuMax Cinema at Victoria mall.

The event once again attracted Uganda’s fishing and sailing fans; and those less interested in fishing were entertained by DJ Aludah. This year’s competition was sponsored by Royal Foam, Megha Industries and Victoria Mall Entebbe.
