MTN has launched new games on its MTN Play portal including Contract Killer HD, Extreme 4×4 Off Road, Formula Racing Pro, Ninja strike 2 and many more.
To encourage users, MTN will be giving away MTN smartphones to those who download games from the portal and post the name of the game on the MTN Facebook page.
“Mobile Content is an essential component of the Digital world which MTN is dedicated to delivering to its customers. Over the recent months we have seen exponential growth in smartphone users on our network and our aim is to avail them with new exciting content for their entertainment.” Says Ernst Fonternel, the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN.
MTN is fully active in the gaming space. Last year a mobile gamers tournament was held at Faze 2 which attracted hundreds of gamers of all ages to battle for the prizes including one million Uganda shillings worth of Mobile Money and Samsung Galaxy tablets. The participants that included Comedian Daniel Omara, played a total of nine games with all of them advancing to the second round and as the stakes were raised, supporters enthusiastically cheered their teams.
