Dubbed the best movie to have come out of East Africa, Bullion premiered recently at Speke Resort, Munyonyo.
The long film centers around the life of Collin (Scoop Tumusiime) who struggles to fend for his wife and ailing daughter, in the wake of the loss of his job. However, things take a whole new turn when Collin meets an old friend, who gets him a job as a Bullion van driver, at a financial institution.
What was a new change for the young man turns into his worst nightmare when plot is made to rob over Shs300million, while in transit.
The film, is a very good one, with a good story line, and will keep you in bouts of laughter, especially from David (Ainea Ojambo), who seems to be somewhat of a funny man with his hilarious lines.
There were a few shortcomings though, especially with the dating of the film.
Set in 1997, its weird how there is a Mark II, being used in one of the scenes. Plus recent technologies like WhatsApp were given mentions in the movie, something that sounded rather odd, given the fact that few people even owned mobile phones, let alone smart phone in 1997!
That aside, the production, casting including Juliana Kanyomozi, and script were amazing.
Kudos to Henry Ssali and Phillip Luswata!!
