Milege World Music Festival, a 3-day event that aims at strengthening the arts and culture sector in Uganda by providing a platform to showcase cultural music and dance from the African continent in its purest and experimental forms, has attracted sponsorship from Bell Lager.

Themed “Celebrate Africa”, this year’s festival will showcase exceptional talent from various regions of East Africa, including performances from artists like Bengat Tronics from Kenya, Pal Musica from Congo among others. There will also be performances from local artistes including, Maddox Sematimba, Rachel Magoola, and Giovanni Kiyingi among others.

Roy Tumwizere, Uganda Breweries National Promotions Manager, expressed excitement about the partnership saying, “Since inception in 2010, Milege has given a platform to Ugandan artists like Sandy Soul, Ruyonga, Davis Ntare and Janzi Band from which they have gone on to scale to even greater heights. As a truly Ugandan brand, Bell Lager is happy to enable a platform such as this one that promotes and showcases the unique and diverse talent Uganda has to offer.”

Other activities this year include fishing, biking safaris, boat rides to Ngamba Islands chimpanzee sanctuary, a complimentary visit to Uganda wild life education center, indigenous games, fashion, visual art exhibitions, poetry, storytelling, bird watching, camping, biking, forest walks, and so much more. It is an event for the whole family offering a relaxing and fun experience.

Entrance is UGX50, 000 and gives one the convenience of either attending the entire festival or a day of choice as well as access to a well facilitated campsite. The event will be held at the Botanical Gardens in Entebbe from the 25th to 27th November. Gates open at 10:00am till late.
