Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named a 23-man squad that will be traveling to West Nile for the National team’s tour. Micho named the squad on Wednesday during the weekly press conference at FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala.

The tour is intended to rally support for the national team and also help the technical team to assess home based players that can make it to the senior team squad ahead of the Cranes’ engagements in the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers against group D opponents of Burkina Faso in two weeks’ time.

The tour will also promote the brand of Airtel, the lead sponsors and other national team sponsors like Nile Special.

“As the main sponsors of the national team, we are rallying for the team’s support in all the regions. Also, football fans in Arua will stand a chance of winning in the on-going Yoola Amajja promotion,” Remmie Kisakye, a brand official from Airtel is quoted on the federation’s website.

The team will travel to Aura on Friday morning and then play against West Nile on Saturday before returning to Kampala on Sunday.
