Mesach Ssemakula Asks Jennifer Musisi To Lift Ban On Posters.

Photo: So the KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi has done wonders in Kampala and the Mayor, Erias Lukwago has done nothing for the people according to President Yoweri Museveni. The president who was speaking during the official opening of the new Wandegeya market yesterday also said Musisi is "a rich a woman" whom he "begged" to preside over Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). Unless if Musisi is using money from her own pockets - which she isn't - because the market was constructed using borrowed funds from the World Bank - which we will all have to pay back, Musisi doesn't deserve any personal praises from the president. These praises should instead go to KCCA as an institution than to the ED as an individual. As such we congratulate KCCA upon the successful completion of the market on time. It has been long since we witnessed a project that was completed on schedule as announced. Secondly, maybe we no longer want leaders who 'sacrifice' and give up on their personal lives to take up public roles, we want leaders who are ready to work for a pay and be ready to accomplish the assigned tasks. Then we will get leaders who are more accountable and self-effacing.

Following the ban KCCA iron lady imposed on posters in and around Kampala, event holders have realised diminishing turn ups.

However, Singer Mesach Semakula made his attempt to change Jennifer Musisi’s mind on the KCCA carnival on Sunday.

With the most recent concerts blaming their turn up on poor publicity, Mesach begged the KCCA boss to lift the ban.

However the iron lady seems far from changing her mind in regard to that. In her conclusive remarks at the event, Jennifer Musisi did not make any hint on lifting the ban.

This is the second attempt by musicians to convince the iron lady after Halima Namakula lost her petition in court.
