Boda Bodas, over the years, have been the easiest way of travelling from one place to another in Uganda; fast, slightly convenient, a tad deadly.
For those living under a rock, Boda Bodas are motorcycles that ferry people from one place to another in a split second. And as BBC’s Newsday Presenter, Alan Kasujja, after putting the backlash and praise (both in equal measure) he received at the presidential debate, embarked on a documentary about Boda Bodas in Uganda.

He’s been combing around, interviewing Boda Boda riders, collecting their stories for his radio show. In the process, he found out the first Boda Boda rider in Uganda. The ageing man from Busia, as Alan Kasujja posted on his Twitter page, claims, together with the locals, that he is the first Boda Boda rider in Uganda.
In the same breathe, this lad claims to have coined the famous ‘Boda Boda’ name. If what he claims is true, then this man deserves a medal.
