In recent years, celebrity dressers have become such an important part in the industry a thing that we can’t let go unrecognized. Meet Ratibu Urban 20, one of the dominant celebrity and editorial fashion stylist whose portfolio of projects ranges from red-carpet looks to on-camera ensembles.
It was evident that Ratibu was destined to work in the fashion industry as he joined it as early as 18 years and ever since then he has never looked back. With only 2 years in the system, he is turning heads in Uganda’s fashion industry determining which designer and dress ultimately come together in music videos as well as red carpet moments for celebrities.
Ratibu says was inspired mostly by the American music videos where musicians dress to kill and that’s when he got the passion in fashion, he later started styling clothings for himself until he turned professional. His list of past/present clients include: Navio Geosteady, Beenie Gunter, Bad Black, Zanie Brown, Ceaserous, Ronald Mayinja, Mary Bata., Pallaso and Eddy Kenzo among others
When it comes to achievements, Ratibu has already won himself an Award at Rising Star Awards for the Youth Talented star of the year 2015. He has two nominations in this year’s Rising star Awards in the category of Stylist of the year and Youth Talented Star of the year.
