Miss Tourism Uganda, a platform that awards and recognises Tourism Ambassadors through holding annual beauty pageants where girls are crowned Miss Tourism. The pageant has been going on for over 10 years and it has produced a number of influential tourism ambassadors. Busingye Vanitah Faith is one of the products of Miss Tourism Uganda and her journey started in 2021 when she was crowned Miss Tourism Ankole and in the same year, she was Miss Tourism Uganda Popularity, Miss Tourism Heritage and also awarded the Most Active Queen of the Year in the 2021 Pageant that took place at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Since then, Busingye became a renowned Tourism Promoter and influencer in Uganda. In 2023, she went to Nigeria as one of the Queens to market Uganda as one of the best Tourism destinations in Africa and in the Miss Tourism Africa Competitions, an event held in Lagos Nigeria on October 3rd 2023, she was crowned and awarded Miss Tourism Ambassador 2023/24 .
Besides Nigeria, Busingye was also in Vietnam where she went to attend the Miss Tourism World competitions in Hanoi, Vietnam on 10th December 2022 and emerged the best voted contestant.
According to the Miss Tourism Uganda organisers, once a Queen, always a Queen and that’s what Busingye is. At the moment, she is the assistant cluster head of Miss Tourism Ankole and this means she is part of the team that oversees all Miss Tourism activities in the Ankole region.
Busingye’s passion for Tourism promotion and Marketing cuts across both domestic and international boundaries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and supply chain management from Makerere University Business School majoring in marketing but as a tourism enthusiast, she is in the field of tourism and she currently runs a tour company called Royale Adventures Uganda that offers a wide experience of Uganda’s tourism products.
In her current role as a tourism ambassador, she has promoted Uganda at an international level through her project of ‘BRING THE WORLD TO UGANDA’, with the support of Uganda Tourism board marketing office. In June 2023, she travelled to Ghana where she joined her Miss Tourism world Ghana counterpart to participate in different campaigns which included a charity drive and a health promotion camp with the aim of promoting Uganda in Ghana and West Africa. While in Ghana, she met with a number of dignitaries who included the Board chairman of Ghana Tourism Authority and the Minister of Tourism Ghana.
She has worked with the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities to promote International Museum day which saw the day celebrated at the URA offices in 2021, Parliament of Uganda in 2022, and Gulu in 2023. She has actively participated in all the previous explore Uganda campaigns and has continued to write about the different tourism products and destinations on her social media platforms.
